In loving memory of Louise Laura Hutchins, age 90, who passed away Friday, February 22, 2008 in San Diego, CA. Louise was born in Muskegon, Michigan to Enno and Margaret Bytwerk on July 14, 1917. She and Earl Albert Hutchins married on December 30, 1937. He preceded her in death on June 2, 1977, as did their daughter, Charlotte Rose on March 24, 1949, and granddaughter, Pamela Sue Hutchins on September 21, 1964. Louise worked in an optometrist office for 20 years after she and Earl moved to San Diego in 1975, retiring at age 80. She has lived with her loving and devoted daughter, Mary, for the past 15 years. Prior to moving to CA, she worked at Kroger's as Head Dairy Girl for 12 years, numerous restaurants, and Sealed Power. Louise is survived by 2 daughters, Mary Noble of San Diego and Ann (Mitchell) Derouin, Jr. of Muskegon; son, Robert (Carol) of Muskegon; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. She is the eldest of 9 children: 1 brother, Ralph (Merla) Bytwerk, sisters, Beatrice Smith, Joan Buckner, Alice VanderVelde, and Ann Ruggeri. She was preceded in death by sisters, Sena Syers and Grace Urcavich, and brother, Gerrit Bytwerk. Louise was a member of Elks Lodge 1812 in El Cajon, CA, where she faithfully played the organ every Monday night at the meetings for 12 years. While residing in Muskegon, she was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Louise enjoyed her music and her little parakeet, Bobbie, whom she taught to talk and say many phrases. A Memorial Service will be held at the Elks Lodge 1812, on March 12, at 1p.m. A family gathering in Muskegon will be held at a later date.
