Louise Clara Glass

Louise Clara Glass, age 82, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2008, at home under the loving care of her family and friends. She was born to the late Louis and Clara Workman in Grand Rapids on June 6, 1925. She is survived by her husband, Clarence, who was her life-long companion and sweetheart of 62 years; a daughter, Brenda; four grandchildren, Nathan, Brent, Ellie, and Mimi; a great-grandson, Bryce Louis; a sister, Delores Miller; along with several nieces and nephews. Louise was preceded in death by two sisters, Catherine and Phyllis Workman. Louise was previously employed at Daily Cleaners, Norge, and Continental Motors. She also worked as a cashier and as a home health care aide. She was a dedicated member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and loved children. According to her wishes, a private family service was held at the Lakeside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to The Louise Glass Memorial Fund, c/o Hunting Bank, 1775 E. Apple Ave., to be used for continuing education of home health care aides in the field of nursing.
