JULLIE, DR. LOUIS LAWRENCE North Muskegon, MI Dr. Louis Lawrence Jullie, age 91, died Monday, July 14, 2003. He was born in Robbinsdale, MN on February 15, 1912 to Louis & Anna Nyerges Jullie & married MaryGenevieve Nielson on August 6, 1938 in Chicago, IL. Dr. Jullie graduated third in his class from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1939 & practiced Optometry in Mt. Pleasant, MI before opening up his own practice in Muskegon. He served the Muskegon community in his practice for over 40 years until retiring in 1979. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, the Moose Lodge, Elks, V.F.W. Post #8846 & the Knights of Columbus. He was a former member of the Muskegon Lions Club. Dr. Jullie traveled extensively around the world, often to remote locations. He loved hunting, fishing & playing golf. Card games after his golf outings were especially enjoyable. SURVIVORS His wife of 64 years, Mary Genevieve; 2 daughters, Carol Ronard Schaadt of OR & Leora James Schillaci of Muskegon, MI; 1 daughter-in-law, Judi Bill McIntyre of Muskegon, MI; 5 grandchildren, Steve Schaadt, Amy Ishii, Mike Schaadt, Tami Budd & Doug Jullie; 8 great- grandchildren; 1 sister, Helen Schwartz of WI; 2 brothers, Dr. Lawrence Dorothy Jullie of Grand Haven, MI & George Jullie of Chicago, IL; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Robert & Louis Jullie & 1 great-grandson, Dean Schillaci. FUNERAL MASS Thursday, July 17, 2003, 11:00 AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Fr. Robert Hart presiding. Interment at Laketon Township Cemetery. VISITATION Thursday, one hour prior to the service at Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
