Mrs. Lorraine Hardy- Murphy, age 92, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020. She was born in St. Louis, MO on February 16, 1928 to Oliver & Jenny (Garrett) Stokes and married John Hardy who passed away in 1982 then married Creed Murphy. Mrs. Hardy- Murphy owned her own Adult Foster Care Home for several years then retired shortly afterwards. Lorraine was a member of Zion Baptist Church were she was the Head Ursher for over 30 years. She enjoyed all Sports and loved going to the Casino. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Daughters: Derby Hardy, Kathy (Kevin) Johnson from Muskegon, Era(Larry) Hardy-Smith from Grand Rapids; sons, John Hardy, Edward (Julia) Hardy from Muskegon, LaRay Hardy from New York; grandchildren, Adrian Johnson, Latoria Orr, Nathaniel Orr, Reanell Orr, Mecca Orr, Kelley Hardy, Danielle Hardy, Johna Hardy, Angie McQuarter, Camron Hardy, John Hardy, Sherri Hardy; a host of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceeded by her father Oliver Stokes and mother Jenny Stokes; sister, Eda, Earlene; brothers, Johnny, Amus; grandson, Rondell Hardy; great-grandson, Torrey Day Jr.

SERVICE

Private Family Viewing due to Covid-19. Will be buried at later date in St. Louis MO. at St. Peters Cemetery.
