Lorna Wilson

Lorna Anderson Wilson, age 95, passed away Saturday night, August 3, at Hospice House in Holland. Lorna was born on the family farm in Pope County, Glenwood Minnesota on April 21, 1918 to Cora ( Dalager) and Adolph Anderson. The oldest of eight children, she worked and cared for others her entire life. She was proud of her Norwegian heritage and always spoke fondly of life in Minnesota. She moved to Muskegon, Michigan in 1942, following nurse's training in Minneapolis, to earn a higher wage at The Osteopathic Hospital. Marriage to Ben Wilson in 1944, kept her in Muskegon where she lived, worked and raised her family. She was a long time member of First Lutheran Church, lobed singing in the choir and enjoyed participating in numerous church activities throughout the years. Her neighborhood Bible study group enriched her life following retirement from Brookhaven Care Center. Tending to her beautiful garden and loving and spoiling her three grandchildren gave her great pleasure. She was grateful for each day and always noticed the beauty of God's creation. SURVIVORS She is survived by her daughters, Dorothy Wilson of Irving, Texas; Jane and Lee Bosko of Holland; grandchildren, Shelby of Denver, CO, Whitney of Las Vegas, NV and Derek of Holland; sister, Dolores Hendrickson of Chicago Heights, IL; a niece, nephews and several Minnesota cousins. SERVICE Wednesday, August 7, 2013, 1:00 PM with visitation one hour prior to the service at Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Pastor Bill Uetricht officiating. Interment at Laketon Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Evergreen Adult Day Programs, 480 State St. Holland MI, 49423, or the Alzheimer's Association.
