Loren Joseph Bixby

Bixby, Mr. Loren Joseph Spring Lake Mr. Loren Joseph Bixby, age 93, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020. He was born in Lucas, MI on October 16, 1927, to Vandorn & Florence ( Brailey) Bixby and served his country in the US Army during WWII. He married the former Helen Montney on July 16, 1949. Mr. Bixby had been a self-employed Construction Contractor and also owned restaurants and hotels. Loren was a member of Black Lake Baptist Church and past Chaplain for Fruitport VFW. Mr. Bixby enjoyed being a pilot, building airplanes, making wood toys, wonderful cabinetmaker, dancing and westerns. SURVIVORS Son, Andrew (Brenda) Bixby; daughter, Barb (Kelly) Bradfield; 7 great-grandchildren; 4 grandchildren, Gina Bixby, Darcy (Jason) Potter, Ben (Elyssa) Bradfield & Steven Showers; many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Helen & his 11 siblings. SERVICE Private family services will be held.
