Lois Arlene McAllister, 92, of Muskegon, passed away Friday, July 19, 2024.


Lois was born July 4, 1932, the daughter of Hans and Ethelyn Meyer. She married Harold McAllister on May 2, 1953, and together they were blessed with 67 years of marriage until his death in 2021. Lois worked as an LPN her entire working career. She and Harold attended and were active members of the First Free Methodist Church (Muskegon) for over 40 years. There, she served as treasurer for most of that time. She was also active in the American Red Cross and was the treasurer for the State Employment Retirement Association. She enjoyed bingo, traveling, and later in life living at Darley Village and the relationships she grew there. She was an outgoing, compassionate, loving, strong-willed woman who will be deeply missed.

Children, Ric (Debii) McAllister, Leeann (Joe) Jeffery, Ron (Pricilla) McAllister, Ross (Naomi) McAllister; grandchildren, Dan (Sarah), Joe (Nicole), Amanda (Jordan), Mary (Judah), Sam, Joshua, Sarah, Jason, Amy, Andrew (Julie), Gillian (Chad), Michael (Joelle), Graesen, Ganen, and Gieren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Guilford, and Grace (Jim) Kerwin; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.


She was preceded in death by her husband Harold; parents, Hans and Ethelyn; sister, Marjorie Jonas; and brother-in-law, Gerald "Jerry" Guilford


SERVICES


Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Clock Funeral Home 1469 Peck Street Muskegon. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the start of the service. A Luncheon will follow the service at the funeral home.
