KING, MRS. LOIS, BRASHEAR Mrs. Lois B. King, age 98, of Grand Haven, died Thursday, May 6, 2004 at her home. She was born in Allegan, MI on June 24, 1905 to Rev. A. V. & Nellie Brown Brashear and married Kenneth King on June 22, 1932, he preceded her in death in May 1993. She graduated from the University of Michigan in 1927. Mrs. King had been a mathematics teacher at Grand Haven High School retiring in 1962. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Grand Haven, past president of the Grand Haven Women's Club and was chairperson of their Scholarship Fund for many years. She was also a member of the Grand Haven Girl Scout Council and chairperson of their established Camp. Mrs. King was in charge of scheduling for the Red Cross blood drives for many years . SURVIVORS 2 daughters, Jean King and Mary K. Hornby both of Grand Haven, MI; 3grandchildren, Gordon Lori Hornby, Abigail Sean Knue, Kurt Chris Hornby; 5 greatgrandchildren, Mindy H. Mike Wilkinson, Tori and Maria Hornby, Zach and Makenzie Knue; great great granddaughter, Sarah Wilkinson. SERVICE Saturday, May 22, 2004, 11 am at First Presbyterian Church in Grand Haven with Rev. Darld Black officiating. MEMORIALS:Grand Haven Community Foundation Women's Club Scholarship Fund, First Presbyterian Church Building Fund or the Girl Scouts of Michigan Trails Camp Anna Behrens Building Fund.
