Lois Colbert

Mrs. Lois O. Colbert, age 86, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013. She was born in Cherry Valley, Arkansas on April 28, 1927 to Arthur & Syndia (Montgomery) Cade and married Oscar H. Colbert on October 5, 1946. Mrs. Colbert had been employed as a LPN at Hackley Hospital for years. She was a loving and giving person who enjoyed gardening, quilting, painting, sewing, reading, knitting and loved flowers. SURVIVORS Husband of 67 years, Oscar; children, Rosemary (Dick) Wymer, Vicky Day, Cheryl Eaton, Mike (Rhona) Colbert; grandchildren, Phil (Melanie) Wymer, Brad (Dawn) Wymer, Lindi Colbert, Jim (Danielle) Colbert, Melissa (Mitch) Dykstra, Jenny Eaton; great grandchildren, Bradley Jr., Jaelen, Caeden, Matthew, Bryce, Phillip Jr. Charlie, Annelise; brother, Kenneth (June) Cade, sister, Barbara (Mike) Mitchell; brother-in-law, Art Burke; sisters-in-law, Marie Colbert, Ruth (Al) Jeaneau; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandchild, Ricky; great grandchild, Camille; one brother; four sisters; and son-in-law, Dick Day. SERVICE Saturday, June 29, 2013, 3:00 PM and visitation one hour prior to the service at East Muskegon Church of God with Rev. Steve Sower officiating. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
