Lloyd D. Krause

KRAUSE, MR. LLOYD D. Norton Shores Lloyd D. Krause, age 93, died Tuesday, May 30, 2006. He was born in Otsego, Michigan on February 15, 1913 to Frederick and Lena (Langland) Krause and married the former Berniece Ceplina on November 20, 1941. He served his country in the U.S. Army Company B 1906 Engineer Aviation Battalion during WWII in the Southern Phillippines, Ryukyus Islands and New Guinea from 1942 - 1946. After the war, he had been employed as a inspector at Teledyne Continental Motors for 22 years until retiring in 1975. Lloyd was a musician that played with various local bands through out his musical career. He was a retired lifetime member of Grand Rapids Federation of Musicians Local #56 A.F. of M and Moose Lodge #491 of Muskegon. SURVIVORS Wife, Berniece F.; 1 daughter, Diane L. Krause of Norton Shores; 1 son, Paul (Nancy) Krause of Spotsylvania, VA; 2 grandchildren, Samantha and Paul J. Krause of VA; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, 2 sisters and several nieces and nephews. SERVICE A private family service will be held at a later date.
