Linnea Slager

Mrs. A. Linnea Slager, age 95, went to be with her Lord Sunday, September 23, 2012. She was born in Muskegon, MI on May 18, 1917 to John & Hilma (Nattson) Jackson. She graduated from Muskegon High School and Sherwood Music School. Linnea married John Jay Slager on April 12, 1946 and had been the organist at Clock Funeral Home for over 60 years. She grew up in Samuel Lutheran Church and was a member of Calvary Church of Fruitport. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother and friend who will be never forgotten. SURVIVORS Daughter, Marcia (Dale) Welch of Grand Rapids; sister-in-law, Betty (Frank) Hansen of Muskegon; brothers-in-law, Robert Slager of Muskegon, Thomas (Maria) Slager of Edwardsburg; several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John in 2011; grandchildren, Jodi, Joelle, 4 sisters and 1 brother. SERVICE Monday, October 1, 2012, 3:00 PM at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Rev. Dr. William J. Rudd officiating. Interment at Lakeside Cemetery. VISITATION Sunday, 3-5 PM at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Muskegon. MEMORIAL: Calvary Church Missionary Fund.
