Carter, Ms. Linda Fae Muskegon, Michigan Ms. Linda Fae Carter, age 69, was born on January 6, 1953, in Muskegon, Michigan, to Sarah Alice Carter and Roy Lee Dixon. On Thursday June 9, 2022, she went to be with her heavenly father. Linda graduated from Muskegon Heights High School as part of the class of 1971. After graduating from Muskegon Heights High School, Linda went on to obtain a certificate in Clerical/Accounting from the Skill Training Center in Muskegon. She also obtained an Associate Degree from Muskegon Community College. Linda started working for GTE in 1974 which later became Verizon. She was employed by GTE/Verizon for 35 years until she accepted an early retirement offered by the company. Linda was a dedicated employee and received several awards from the company for outstanding performance. Linda was a member of Community Wesleyan Church under the leadership of Pastor Debra Jackson. She was a very active member in the church. She served on the board, attended Sunday school regularly, she sang with the Praise and Worship team, attended Bible Study and sang in the choir where she was able to utilize her beautiful voice. Although Linda didn't have any children, she loved everyone else's children like they were her own. She remembered birthdays, important events and always involved herself in their lives and activities. Before her illness, she enjoyed going out with her church family, co-workers and fellow bowlers. Linda enjoyed socializing with family and friends and was the life of the party. She loved to laugh and make other people laugh as well. She always had such a positive attitude about everything and tried to encourage others. She also enjoyed bowling, fishing, watching game shows, playing card games such as bid whist and spades, and going to the casino. SURVIVORS Linda is survived by her only beloved brother, Verlus Dwayne Carter, who she loved and cherished all their lives. She also leaves a host of favorite cousins, relatives and wonderful friends. She will be missed by everyone who loves her. Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Sarah Carter, stepfather, Verlus Marion, father, Roy Lee Dixon, favorite uncle, Lucious "Uncle L.C."
