Lillian Mary Poulson

Mrs. Lillian Mary Poulson, age 99, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2008 in Muskegon. She was born in Brethren, MI on June 6, 1908 to Alfred and Cora (Keith) Leas and had resided in Muskegon for most of her life. Mrs. Poulson was an avid hunter and loved to fish. She also loved to crochet. Over the years, she had crocheted thousands of greeting cards that were distributed and used all over the world. She also crocheted hundreds of lap robes that were distributed to nursing homes and veteran's homes. On March 20, 1926, she married James H. Poulson and he preceded her in death on January 30, 1988. She is survived by 1 son, James (Loraine) Poulson of Redding, CA; 1 daughter, Lois (Floyd) Vos of Muskegon; 1 daughter-in-law, Jean Poulson; 5 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 9 step-great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, James, she was preceded in death by 1 son, Lawrence Poulson; 1 granddaughter, Lisa Kuziak; 4 brothers, Charles Leas, R. Arthur Leas, John Leas, Carl Carlson and 1 sister, Alma Blundel. SERVICES will be 11AM Wednesday at The Walburn Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565 with Rev. Randy Murphy officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service. INTERMENT will be in Mona View Cemetery.
