Lila Bird

Surrounded by her beloved family, Mrs. Lila "Sassy" Bird, age 62, loving mother, "Nina", and sister went to be with her loved ones in Heaven on Sunday, August 21, 2011. Lila enjoyed spending time with her family & friends, including all her Facebook friends. She was a member of New Heart Community Church of Muskegon and enjoyed reading, trips to the casino & traveling. The family would like to give special thanks to Pastor Ron Amos, the 2nd floor nursing staff at Mercy General and to everyone who lifted Lila & the family up in prayer. SURVIVORS Daughter, Leslie (Jesse Harvey) Bird; 2 grandsons, Kyle & Kameron; 3 brothers, Jim Stafford, Billy (Linda) Stafford, both of Muskegon, Jerry (Micki) Stafford of TN; 4 sisters, MaryJo Wilbur of Allendale, MI, Shirley (Rick) Brakebill of TN, Joyce (Vern) Hollowell, Vicki (Mark) Cioe, both of Muskegon; sister-in-law, Phyllis Stafford of TN; several nieces, nephews, very special friends & neighbors. She is also survived by her loving Ma Stark & family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Chuck" who was her soulmate & best friend for nearly 40 years; parents, James & Dorothy Stafford; brother, John Stafford.
