Lester L. Dumaw

Mr. Lester L. Dumaw, age 77, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019. He was born in Muskegon, MI on January 6, 1942 to Lester & Sarah (Bragg) Dumaw and served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He married the former Julia Thorstenson on June 30, 1990. Mr. Dumaw had been employed as a Truck Driver for Wolverine Trucking and VanEerden until retiring. Lester was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion and V.F.W. He loved working at the food pantry, fishing and spending time with family. SURVIVORS Son, John Dumaw; daughter, Diana (Stach) Apostle; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Vivian Netzler, Elisa (David) Harris, Caroline (Herb) Postema; many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Julie in 2010; stepchildren, Val Palo, Scott Meirs & Robin Meirs; brothers, Charles, Edward & Francis Dumaw. SERVICE Friday, February 8, 2019, 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior to the service at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Pastor Chris Decker officiating. Internment in Lakeside Cemetery.
