Leslie Paul Toth

Leslie Paul Toth, 80, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 2, 2022 while peacefully surrounded by his family. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather with a passionate love for Jesus. Les was an only child and was born in Grand Haven on March 26, 1942. He met the love of his life, Dee, and married her in 1970. They were soulmates and best friends, celebrating their 52nd wedding anniversary last month. Les poured his heart and time into his two children, their spouses and seven grandchildren and loved them with all his heart. He loved traveling and camping with their motorhome, especially out west, and enjoyed many trips with his family. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved the outdoors. Les graduated from Grand Haven High School and earned his Masters degree at Ferris State University. He was the Director of Environmental Health for Ottawa County for 37 years. Les joins his parents, Irene and Paul Toth, in heaven. He is survived by his wife, Deanna, his children, Amber (Jeff) and Jeff (Lisa), and grandchildren Carson, Kolby, Mason, Adelyn, Chase, Westin, and Gaige. Les lived life without regrets and to the fullest. He was a kind, quiet, humble man who was a friend to everyone. He loved unconditionally and always had a smile on his face. The lucky few might get to see his goofy, funny side! No matter the circumstances, he chose joy. He was steadfast in his faith and lived his life to honor God. Les made an impact on all he met and left a legacy that will not soon be forgotten. There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone, the light remains. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Harvest - Spring Lake Campus, 225 E. Exchange St, Spring Lake on Friday, June 10. Visitation at 10:00 am, service at 12:00 noon, and a luncheon at the church immediately following the service. In place of flowers, people wishing to honor his memory may contribute to LOVE In Action of the Tri-Cities..
