Leslie Ivan Eacker

Leslie Ivan Eacker age 61, died Sunday, August 17, 2008 surrounded by his loving family. Leslie was born on October 18, 1946 in Muskegon, Michigan to the late Ivan B. and OraLean (Frideu) Eacker. Leslie served in the United States Army. Leslie married Eva Jeanette Smith on August 25, 1966 in Muskegon, Michigan. Leslie is survived by his wife of 41years: Eva J. Eacker, 3 Daughters; Malissa and Ron Schafer, Angela Johnson and Lesley and Tim Adams all of Muskegon. 7 Grandchildren. 3 Brothers: Larry and Joan Eacker of Muskegon, Ken and Pat Eacker of Walker and Melvin and Becky Eacker of Muskegon. 1 Sister: Myra Verschueren of Arizona. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Leslie was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at 12:00pm at the Fellowship Reformed Church 4200 E. Apple Ave, Muskegon, MI 49442 with Pastor Greg VanDermeer and Pastor Joe Galy officiating. Cremation will take place and burial will be on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 1:00pm at the Egelston Township Cemetery with members of the American Legion Ravenna Post conducting military honors. The family will be present at the church on Tuesday from 10:00am until the time of service to greet friends. Memorials may be directed to the family.
