NOEL, MR. LEON PAUL Norton Shores Mr. Leon Paul Noel, age 87, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2005 at his home in Norton Shores surrounded by his loving family. Leon was born on January 31, 1918 to George and Antonia Noel. He attended and graduated from St. Jean the Baptiste School. Leon served in the US Army Medical Corp during WWII and was stationed in the Phillippines. He joined his father in the home construction business and was a highly respected building contractor. He was involved in the Muskegon Elks, The Contractors Association, Muskegon Township Planning Commission and was giving of his time for the Christmas Elks Baskets. Mr. Noel was an active member of St. Francis DeSales Church and was very involved in the building committee during the building of the church. He was a very loving father and well respected in the community with many, many friends. Leon will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS Leon is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, the former Donna Hanson. 2 sons, David Julie Noel and Jim Noel both of Norton Shores; 2 daughters, Mary Teasley of Ferrysburg and Roberta "Bobbee" Noel of Norton Shores; 5 grandchildren, Nicole, Matthew, Joseph, Kristy and Andrew; 1 great-grandchild, his namesake, Noelle Marie. Leon was preceded in death by his parents , 2 brothers Vern and George Jr., 2 sisters, Angela Stewart and Emma Kotecki and also his special friend "Bo". SERVICE Friday, April 1, 2005, 11:00 AM at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church with Fr. Julian Reginato officiating. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery.
