Leon Anthony Major, age 93, passed away Monday, May 6, 2024. He was born in Muskegon, MI on April 26, 1931 to Ephram & Margaret (Lamont) Major and served his country in the US Army Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He married the former Darlene Zant Brown on July 5, 1972 and she preceded him in death in 2011. Leon had been employed as a Tool and Die Machinist for Sealed Power - SPX for over 30 years until retiring in 1989. He formerly attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Spring Lake with his wife Darlene. He and Darlene liked traveling around the country visiting family and seeing the sights. Leon also enjoyed having Bar-B-Ques, grilling out and working in the yard. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

SURVIVORS

Daughter, Cindy(Brian) Turgeon, step-children, James (Angie) Brown, Joni (Ed) Peterson, Cindy (Steve) Rosso; Many grandchildren, great-greandchildren, nieces and nephews. Leon was preceded in death by his son, Don Major, 1st wife Helen (Hysell) Carrigan, 2nd wife Darlene Brown Major and his siblings Alva, Kay, Don, Bob, Orville and Rita.
