Leah Madalyn Woolf

Leah Madalyn Woolf, age 86, died Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at Mercy General Health Partners Mercy Campus. Leah was born on December 8, 1921 in Assyira Township, Michigan to the late Ray and Luella (Talmage) Babcock. Leah married Lee Brandow and he preceded her in death on August 7, 1960. Leah then married Melvin T. Woolf on November 8, 1963 in Muskegon, Michigan. Leah is survived by her husband Melvin, 1 Daughter: Rosemary and Joseph Rogalla of Coopersville, Numerous Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren. 2 Step Sons: Melvin and Keith Woolf. 3 Brothers: Hugh and Betty Babcock of Battle Creek, Howard and Wilda Babcock of Rockford and Gordon and Phyllis Babcock of Kalkaska. 4 Sisters: Betty Baldwin of Manton, Evelyn and Arvid Blaisdell and Margery Bernholtz both of Kalkaska and Donna and Roland Sayer of Cadillac. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Leah was preceded in death in addition to her parents by 2 Sons: Jack and Jerry Brandow. 1 Daughter: Patsy McPheron, 1 sister: Mildred Darling and 2 Brothers: Richard and Walter Babcock. A Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 11:00am at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna with Rev. Chuck Smith officiating. Cremation has taken place and burial will be in Ravenna Township Cemetery. The family will be present at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna on Friday, October 10, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00pm to receive friends. Memorials may be directed to Hospice.
