Mr. Lawrence C. Potter, age 80, died Wednesday, May 2, 2007. He was born in Byron Center, Michigan on October 2, 1926 to Casey & Gertrude (Hookstra) Potter & married the former Pamela Currier in 1988 in Grand Haven, MI. Mr. Potter served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korea Conflict. He had been employed as a truck driver at Conex Express for 62 years until retiring in 2006. He was a member of Grand Haven V.F.W., American Legion, Ducks Unlimited, N.R.A., "The Robinson Boys" & local teamster member. Lawrence was an avid hunter & fisherman, but foremost was his family. SURVIVORS Wife, Pamela; 4 sons, Robert (Kari Suchecki) Butcher of Grand Haven, Larry (Terry) Potter of Grand Haven, Jeffery Alan Potter of Grand Haven, Shawn (Marcie) Currier of Grand Haven; 7 daughters, Diana Kirby of Grand Haven, Rebecca (Randy) Todd of West Olive, Janet (Charlie Graham) Potter of Paris, MI, Regina (Tom) Nelson of Grand Haven, Jennifer (Bob) Melvin of Grand Haven, Cheryl (Steve) Poel of Spring Lake, Dana (Bill) DeWitte of Holland; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces & nephews; 3 brothers & 5 sisters. He was preceded in death by a son, Melvin W. Currier Jr., grandson, Elijah Butcher, & 2 sons-in-law, Michael Christensen & Merton Sibley. SERVICE Monday, May 7, 2007, 1:00 PM at Clock Life Story Funeral Home. Interment at Lakeshore Cemetery. VISITATION Sunday, 3-7 PM at Clock Life Story Funeral Home. MEMORIAL: Grand Haven V.F.W.
