Lawrence "Larry" Buteyn

Mr. Lawrence "Larry" Buteyn, age 91, died Thursday, May 21, 2009. He was born in Fond du Lac County, WI but had been a resident of Muskegon for 68 years. He came to Muskegon to marry Georgia Lindberg, his bride for 56 years. She preceded him in death in 1997. Larry served his country in the US Army during WWII and worked for CWC Textron, first in engineering then purchasing for over 50 years. He will be remembered by friends from Forest Park Covenant Church where he was a member for over 68 years and by the residents and staff of Seminole Shores Living Center where he lived for the last year and a half. SURVIVORS Larry is survived by his son, Bruce (Carol) Buteyn of IL; his daughter, Pamela (Richard) Haferman of Saugatuck; grandchildren, Mike (Terri) Alstrom, Malia (Barbara Reichert) Alstrom, Timothy (Stephanie) Buteyn, Randi (Wayne) Barkus; great grandchildren, Faith Alstrom, Logan, Alyssa, & Sawyer Closs, Kai Alstrom-Reichert; sisters, Kay DeBoer of WI & Phyllis (Don) Ameele of MN; several nieces & nephews. SERVICE: Wednesday, May 27, 2009, 11:00 AM at Forest Park Covenant Church with Rev. Paul Bengtson officiating. VISITATION: Tuesday, 6-8 PM at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Muskegon and 1 hour prior to the service at Forest Park Covenant Church. MEMORIAL: Forest Park Covenant Church or Harbor Hospice.
