Laurin G. Comer

Mr. Laurin G. Comer, age 86, died Sunday, October 12, 2008. He was born in Muskegon on April 11, 1922 to Robert & Jenni (Fish) Comer and married the former Iona Cregg on March 8, 1956 in South Haven. Mr. Comer had served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII and had been employed as a Teacher at Ludington Public Schools for 14 years. He was a longtime member of Central United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge, enjoyed gardening, and was an avid carpenter having built many homes. SURVIVORS 2 daughters, Paula (Gary) Doig & Kay Fairfield, both of Muskegon; 3 granddaughters, Heather, Leah, Holly; 1 great grandson, Tyler; sister-in-law, Martha Comer & son, Bob of Muskegon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Iona in 1996; brother, Robert; great grandson, Cody; 2 nephews, Rodney & Michael. SERVICE Wednesday, October 15, 2008, 4:00 PM at Central United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Randall Hansen officiating. MEMORIAL: Mission for Area People.
