Laurie J. Barnett-Thomas

Mrs. Laurie Jean Barnett-Thomas, age 58, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016. She was born in Grand Haven, Michigan on December 31, 1957 to Arthur & Betty (Kohnke) Barnett and married Mark Valentine Thomas on May 14, 2005. Mrs. Thomas had been employed as an assistant manager for Speedway. Laurie is wife, best friend companion to Mark who enjoyed animals, the outdoors, raising chickens and spending time with her grandchildren. SURVIVORS Husband, Mark Valentine Thomas; children, DeAnn Fritz, Ivy (Jeff) DeWitt; stepdaughter, Victoria Getz; grandchildren, Allison Lucas, Katelynn Lucas, Garret Lucas, Sophia DeWitt & Eloise DeWitt; stepgranddaughter, Regan Phillips; mother, Betty Barnett-Grimm; siblings, Peg (Wilbur) Buehler, Art (Peggy) Barnett, Steve (Patricia) Barnett; many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends; her beloved dogs, Missy & Sophie. She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur & brother, Tim Barnett. SERVICE Friday, August 19, 2016, 12:00 noon at the Clock Chapel - Grand Haven with Rev. Ken Shady officiating. Interment in Lakeshore Cemetery. VISITATION Thursday, 5:00-7:00 pm and Friday, one hour prior to the service at Clock Funeral Home - Grand Haven.
