Laura Elaine Hart

Hart, Mrs. Laura Elaine Elesan Twin Lake, Michigan Laura Elaine Elesan Hart, known as "Lee" to the family, died on December 17, 2020 at the age of 83. Lee's wish was to spend her final days in her beloved family home. To honor that wish, her daughter-in-law, Mary Hart, selflessly devoted herself to caring for Lee during this time. Lee was born July 10, 1937 in Muskegon, Michigan to Fletcher and Marion Fowler, and grew up in Twin Lake with four brothers and two sisters: Fletch, Tim, Julie, Nate, Joe, and Rita. On August 30, 1962, she married Gene Hart, bringing three children to the marriage: Wayne, Perry, and Laura Lee. Lee and Gene settled in their new home on Twin Lake, and had a fourth child, Gene Michael "Mike" Hart, in 1963. She and Gene spent many wonderful years together raising children and improving the family homestead. Lee was a dedicated mother, homemaker, and a fabulous cook. Her children and extended family have many fond memories of the plentiful delicious treats she provided, particularly during the Christmas holidays. Her "green thumb" was apparent to all who had the pleasure of admiring her beautiful gardens. She had an artistic flair and enjoyed decorating her lovely home. She also worked at Twin Lake Elementary school for several years. Lee was preceded in death by her husband Gene, her son Perry, and brothers Tim and Joe. She leaves behind her son Wayne Walden (Melody), daughter Laura Postlewait (Dave), son Mike Hart (Mary), grandchildren Christopher, Patrick, Megan, Andrew, Felicia, April, Hollie, Samone, Meghan and great grandchildren Branden, Parker, Nolan, Austin, Graham, Eleanor, Bentley, Parker, Riley, Lanie, Makenna, Jayce, Tatum, and Kaiah.
