Larry Alan Hanks, 74, of Muskegon, passed away Monday, August 12, 2024.

Larry was born April 1, 1950, the son of Ted and Marion Hanks. Larry worked several jobs in his career and was a jack of all trades. He was also a volunteer firefighter for Grand Haven Township. Larry enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the NRA. He thoroughly enjoyed camping. He was a kind, gentle, helpful "smartass" with a big heart. Larry will be deeply missed.

SURVIVORS

Sons, John (Jody) Hanks, Troy (Jill) Hanks; step-daughter, April Taylor; grandchildren, Jared Taylor and Kody Hanks; siblings, Sharon (Patrick) Shaughnessy, Linda (Paul) Lelezi, Judy Tyler, Pam (Dan) Linderman; significant other, Sue; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Ted and Marion Hanks; grandparents, John and Flossie Hanks, and Harold and Cora VanEtten; Step-mother, Audrey Hanks; brother, Gary; and sister, Gloria.

SERVICES

A Celebration of his life will take place September 7th at 4:00 PM at Kibby Creek Campgroud 4900 W Deren Road Ludington MI 49431.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to the Kibby Creek Campground.
