Larry Grooms

Mr. Larry Vernon Grooms, age 71, passed away Friday, February 12, 2016. He was born in Cardwell, Missouri on March 10, 1944 to Jay & Beulah (Hutchins) Grooms and married Norma Grooms (Bross) on February 14, 1975. Mr. Grooms had been employed as a Maintenance Supervisor for Consumers Power for over 23 years until retiring. Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS Wife, Norma Jean; son, Timmy Grooms, step daughters, Lynn (Gary) Gardner of Grand Haven, Deane (Larry) Widgren of Traverse City, LuAnn (Scott) Robertson of Grand Haven; step sons, Danny (Amy) Johnson of Rockford, Andrew (Nancy) Johnson of Fennville; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Virginia Boyd and family of AR. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kenneth Grooms. SERVICE No services will be held.
