Knollinger, Dona J.

Dona J. Knollinger, age 66, passed away October 15, 2006. She was born June 28, 1940 in Muskegon to James G. and Donna R. Knollinger and had been a life resident of the area. Dona was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a teacher for the Muskegon Catholic Schools System until her retirement in 1999. Dona truly loved teaching and this could be seen in her willingness to tutor students in her spare time. She enjoyed music, singing, and playing both the piano and the organ. Dona was preceded in death by both of her parents. She is survived by her brother, James G. (Jeanne) Knollinger Jr.; nephews, Jason (Amy) Wright, Christopher (Lacey) Wright, and Nicholas (Jerri Bruce) Knollinger; great-nieces and nephews, Talanna, Torin, Natalie, and Naithan, along with close friends; Sr. Joan Pichette, Marie Farage, and Mary Korpi. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Jean's Catholic Church on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. with The Reverend Father Jim Wyse officiating. Interment Bridgeton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hackley Cancer Center, or the Muskegon County Catholic Education Foundation.
