Kent, Dorothea M.

Mrs. Dorothea M. Kent, age 86, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at a local hospital. She was born on October 4, 1920 to Theodore and Christina (Gouin) Morris in Cheboygan, MI. Mrs. Kent was a member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church. She was the Family Matriarch who enjoyed cooking and knitting. On October 19, 1942 she married, James Franklin Kent in Muskegon. SURVIVORS include her husband, James; 2 grandchildren, Michael Harker and Michelle (John) Peliotes both of Muskegon; 2 great-grandchildren, Anna Holstine and Jordan Peliotes; and niece, Sandy (Ron) Sharpe of Grand Rapids. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Phyllis Ann, 14 years ago. FUNERAL SERVICE will be 1:00 PM Saturday at The Walburn Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565 with Rev. Fr. Norman Droski officiating. VISITATION with the family is this evening from 6 - 8 PM. Entombment will take place at St. Mary's Mausoleum.
