Kenneth James Rollenhagen

Rollenhagen, Mr Kenneth James Muskegon, Michigan Mr Kenneth James Rollenhagen, age 94, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2022. He was born in Muskegon, MI on August 27, 1927 to Ewald & Elizabeth (Kanaar) Rollenhagen and served his country in the US ARMY. Ken graduated from Muskegon High School in 1945 and then went on to Muskegon Junior College where played basketball and baseball. He later attended Northwestern University and graduated from the University of Michigan. Ken married the former Karolyn Flickema on June 3, 1955. Mr. Rollenhagen had worked in sales for Clarke Floor Machine and then Guardsman until retiring. Ken enjoyed playing golf, playing hockey and spending time on the beach. He owned many sports cars through the years and was a member of the Muskegon Sports Car Club, participating in their Road Rallies. Ken was also a long time member of First Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. SURVIVORS Wife, Karolyn; 2 daughters, Carrie Sorensen of Muskegon, Beth (Mart Bartoli) Davis of Twin Lake; son, Peter (Lisa Benavides) Rollenhagen of Holland; grandchildren, Paul Sorensen, Kaj Sorensen, Elizabeth (Brad) Reid, Dominic Davis, Carlin Rollenhagen, Cole Rollenhagen; step-grandchildren, Alexandra Schwerin, Angellica Bradford, Marissa Perry; great-grandchildren, Jamison, Emerson, Wonter, Bradley, William, Alana, Adrian, Chloe. Ken was preceded in death by his sisters, Marilyn Ballantyne, Eloise Wright. SERVICE Thursday, August 25, 2022, 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church with Pastor Andy Smith officiating. Interment in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION - One hour prior to the service at the church. There will be a luncheon following the service. MEMORIAL: First Baptist Church.
