Kenneth Barhitte

Mr. Kenneth Allen Barhitte, age 82, passed away May 13th, 2007, at home. He was born Jan. 9th, 1925 to Francis and Anna Barhitte in Muskegon. He married Lilly Palmer on June 28th, 1947. Ken retired from Kroger's in 1983. He was an avid hunting & fisherman and could tell you many stories about them. He also bowled on a league for many years. Ken basically just enjoyed life, visiting neighbors and friends any chance he could. After the passing of his wife Lilly in Nov, 1999 he moved to Honor, MI. Preceding him in death were his parents, a sister Naomi Nash, brother Howard, daughter Carrie Ann and 2 grandsons, Mark Allen and Bryan McPherson. SURVIVORS Daughter, Carol (Frank) Knoche, Lilly Marleen "Jill" McPherson; a son, Allen (Sandra) Barhitte; sister-in-law, Rosa Barhitte; aunt Lucille Brow; grandchildren, Bruce & Craig McPherson of Muskegon, Josh (Dacquari) Barhitte, Stacy (Jeremy) McVickers of AZ, Ryan Barhitte, Chris (Layla) Deloy, Mike Madson all of Traverse City, Clayton Phillips of Hart; great-grandchildren, Emily & Evan Deloy and Trent McPherson. He also leaves a very special friend Fanny Smith. According to Ken's wishes, no service will be held. There will be a memorial service for family and friends at a later date.
