Mrs. Kathryn Lois Hall, age 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Christian Care Nursing Facility in Muskegon. The only daughter of the 1949 Muskegon "Ideal Mother" Ellen M. George and Benjamin F. George who owned and operated B. F. George Storage & Van Co., Kathryn "Kay" graduated from North Muskegon in 1942. In 1944 she married Hollis J. Marsh with whom she had two sons, Robert and David. In 1972 she married Richard (Dick) O. Hall extending her family further. She was a devoted wife and mother and her family always came first. Kay worked in the finance department at Meijer corporate headquarters for 22 years and remained a champion of the company for the rest of her life. She was a fifty-seven year member and served many stations in the Cyclamen Chapter #94 and Rockford Chapter #215 of the Order of the Eastern Star of Michigan. Kay was also a devoted member of First (Park) Congregational Church in Grand Rapids for more than fifty years serving as Deaconess 1982-83 and regularly volunteered her time and participated in church activities. Kay and Dick, prior to his passing in 1999, traveled extensively together internationally as well as domestically with the West Michigan Corvair Club. SURVIVORS Kay is survived by her sons, Robert Marsh of Pebble Beach, CA and David Marsh of Lakeland, FL; step son, James (Karen) Hall of Coopersville and step daughter, Barbara (Bernard) Lamancusa of Spring Lake; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers Richard (Shirley) George, Thomas (Julie) George of Muskegon and Alfred (Rosalie) George of Grand Rapids; and many loving nieces and nephews. MEMORIAL SERVICE Saturday, May 21, 2016, 11:00 am at First (Park) Congregational Church, 10 E Park Pl NE, Grand Rapids with The Reverend Dan Furman officiating. Interment in First (Park) Congregational Church. VISITATION Visitation for family and friends will be held before the service starting at 10:00 am at First (Park) Congregational with a reception immediately after the service. MEMORIAL: In lieu of flowers, please consider giving to Christian Care, O.E.S. of Michigan, or First (Park) Congregational Church.
