Kathleen Braspenning

Kathleen Braspenning, age 75, of Muskegon, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025,

surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Grand Haven, Michigan, Kathleen dedicated her life to caring for others, including through her

work managing a group home. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and

friend. A creative and nurturing spirit, she found great joy in quilting, sewing, and crafting-always

giving of herself and her talents.

Kathleen was a faithful member of Breakwater Church of the Nazarene, where her presence and

kindness touched many lives.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Henry Braspenning; her children Dave (Paulette) Ronning,

Matt (Raquel) Ronning, and Sara (Greg) Henshaw; her stepchildren Amanda (Amanda) Braspenning

and Crystal Braspenning; her cherished grandchildren Krista, Lindsey, Jessica, Emily, Dylan, Jonathon,

Skyler, Breanna, Kameron, Willow, and Tavon; as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces, and

nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Edwards; her mother, Coleen Edwards (Felber); her

brother, Charles Edwards; her son, Jonathon Ronning; her daughter-in-law, Brenda Ronning (Knutson);

and her stepson, Steven Braspenning.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Breakwater Church of the Nazarene,

1150 Seminole Rd, Norton Shores, MI 49441. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., with the service to

follow at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Benevolence Fund at Breakwater Church

in Kathleen's honor.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love, warmth, and strength she shared with

everyone around her.
