Karl Conrad Ochs, age 84, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024. He was born in Muskegon, MI on February 1, 1940 to Erwin & Pauline (Jensen) Ochs DDS and graduated from Muskegon High School in 1958. He married the former Judy Clark on November 16, 1977. Karl had been employed as a Draftsman for Hooker-DeJong Architects and also had his own company K-Designs. In his earlier years he had been a salesman at Matson Oldsmobile. Karl was a past member of the Muskegon JayCees and had been involved with Cursillo and then helping start DeColores en Christo. Karl was a long time member at First Congregational Church UCC of Muskegon and worked in the sound and radio booth there for over 48 years, along with serving as a Deacon and on multiple committees. Following retirement he cooked for the weekly Wednesday Morning Mens' Bible Study. He was instrumental in founding the Saturday Breakfast program at First Congregational UCC in 2003 and served the hungry weekly for nearly 20 years.

Wife, Judy Clark-Ochs, Thea Collier, Karlene Arnst, Kimberly Crampton, Karl VanderLeest, Karl (Diane) Ochs II of St. Paul, MN, Ngoc Pham of Australia; grandchildren, Alyssa (Kyler) Simmons, Jack Crampton, Alicia Petersen, Amanda Pham; great-grandchildren, Asher Simmons, Finley and Harper Petersen; former spouse, Linda Feil Malmquist. Very special friends Thuy and P Dung Nguyen. He was preceded in death by his grandson Aaron Pham and his brother David Ochs.
