KINGSLEY, MR. KARL W. Muskegon Mr. Karl W. Kingsley, age 91, died Thursday, August 10, 2006. He was born in Andover, OH on May 1, 1915 to Darwin & Claribelle (Tuttle) Kingsley & married the former Gladys McCreary on January 12, 1941. Mr. Kingsley had been an independent food broker for 70 years until retiring in 1985. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII, fought in the "Battle of the Bulge" with the "Golden Lions" in the 6th Army. Mr. Kingsley was a longtime hunter & fishermen with memberships in the Michigan Conservation Club, NRA & Michigan Steelheaders where he was known as "Kingfish". He had national & local memberships in the American Legion & was a Mason in Andover, OH. Mr. Kinglsey was also a member of the Point O' Woods Golf Club in Iverness, FL. Karl loved Dixieland Jazz and was a member of the National Band Champions of 1932 at Andover High School SURVIVORS wife, Gladys; 2 sons, Bob (Kaye) Kingsley of Muskegon & Tom (Marilyn) Kingsley of Muskegon; 5 grandchildren, Kerry (Michael) Stewart, Amy, Jason, Nathan & Katherine Kingsley; 3 great grandchildren, Sophie, Noah & Molly Stewart; 2 step-grandchildren, David (Becky) Oldaker & Robert Oldaker; a sister, Charlene (Dom) Barbato of Ashtabula, OH. SERVICE Sunday, August 20, 2006, 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Muskegon with Rev. John Brown officiating. Interment at West Andover Cemetery in Ohio. MEMORIAL: VNS Hospice.
