Karen Rene Mattos

Karen Rene Mattos, 56, passed away on August 7, 2026. She was born on March 3, 1970, to Roger Pothoff and Christine Estlund.

Karen is survived by her children, Juliana Mattos of Muskegon, Elysia Mattos of Kalamazoo and Dominic Mattos of Texas; her sister, Heather (Grahame) Panerio of Phoenix, and their children, Seth and Aaron Panerio; and her sister, Sara Pothoff of Phoenix and her child, Asher Pothoff.

She was preceeded in death by her maternal grandparents, Andrew Estland and Katherine Estland; her paternal grandparents, Gerrit Pothoff and Vida Pothoff; and her nephew, Alexander Panerio.

A graveside service will be held at Fruitland Cemetery on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at 11am.
