June Burr

Mrs. June Lorraine Burr, age 87, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2017. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan on June 12, 1929 to Clarence & Viola (Pfund) Riegler and married Almon Burr on December 26, 1950. Mrs. Burr had been employed as a Registered Nurse at Hackley Hospital for 25 years until retiring. June was a member of Mona Shores Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, where she would visit Civil War sites, collecting stamps, reading murder mysteries, watching old movies, knitting & needle point, was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family. SURVIVORS Son, Bruce (Kathryn) Burr of Muskegon; daughters, Rose Soltero of Muskegon, Laura (Tom) Guenther of Romeo, MI; grandchildren, Simon (Diana Douglas) Soltero, Jonathon (Tiffany) Burr, Victoria (Colby) Hectel, Alexander Burr; great grandchildren, Taylor, Riley; brother, Clarence Riegler; daughter-in-law, Diane Burr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Almon in 2007; son, Robert in 2008 & brother Lester. SERVICE Monday, February 6, 2017, 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior to the service at Mona Shores Baptist Church with Thomas Siefert officiating. Interment in Oakhurst Cemetery.
