Julia L. Kroll

Mrs. Julia L. Kroll, age 86, passed away Sunday afternoon, October 14, 2007 in Whitehall. She was born July 22, 1921 in Montague to Charles L. and Marie (Henne) Martin, and lived almost all of her life in the West Michigan area. Julia was married to Howard Mortenson Sr., who preceded her in death in 1979. She later married Edward Kroll, and he preceded her in death in 2006. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Rosemary (Don) Breitwisch of Florida, Terry Mortenson of Muskegon, Howard (Helen) Mortenson, Jr. of Muskegon, Dennis Mortenson of Rothbury; 9 grandchildren, Penny Presel of Florida, Jeff Yellof Muskegon, Mike Hoff of Muskegon, Paula Podein of Spring Lake, Lisa Hemmeke of Spring Lake, Howard Mortenson III of Spring Lake, Shane Mortenson of Muskegon, Brandon Mortenson of Alaska, and Monica Mortenson of Muskegon; several great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Henrietta Mund of Muskegon, Roberta Sirerer of Florida. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Betty Cooper; a granddaughter, Judy Baldus, and a sister, Charlotte Schmiedeknecht. At her request there will be no visitation or service.
