Judy Ann Bendiner age 72 of Muskegon, MI passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at Mercy Health Hospital - Mercy Campus. She was born August 24, 1947, in Muskegon. She resided in Naperville, IL, Kalamazoo and Kentwood, MI and Pinehurst, NC before returning to Muskegon several years ago. She attended Muskegon and Grand Rapids Community Colleges focusing on photography. She also enjoyed reading, sewing, painting, artificial flower arranging, home decorating, fashion and entertaining. She was an avid traveler and had many adventures throughout the U.S. and Europe although didn't enjoy flying. A few of her favorite destinations were Vatican City, Greece and Germany. She was passionate about cooking, baking, world news, politics and volunteered on many Democratic campaigns. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She is lovingly remembered by her children Lainie (Robert) Valk, Matthew Bendiner, Tracey Swift (Daniel Wagle); daughter in law Peggy Wickersham; step-children Janie Brendel, Vicki Browne; siblings Robert (Debra) Bates, Penny Hartung, Janet Widman (Dave Paggeot), G.L. Bates; grandchildren Cassie (Andrew) Medlock, Brogan Bendiner, Brielle Valk (fianc Harrison), China Bendiner, Colin Bendiner; great-grandchildren Oaklee and Lincoln Medlock; nieces Karen (Mike) Colasanti, Kristi (Chris) Kettler, Lauren (Adam) Mixter, Karli Paggeot-Gan (Victoria); nephews Christopher (Sarah) Cole, Kevin Wootton; Godson Douglas Murphy, Goddaughter Tressa Melching (Doug), God grandson Brandon Murphy (Jessica); their children and close friend Cheryl Mellblom. She was preceded in death by her mother Betty Widman, life-long best friend Joyce Murphy, and infant daughter Gina in addition to other family and friends She was loving, caring, giving and will be deeply missed. At her request, cremation will take place and spreading of her ashes will occur at a later date. A celebration of her life will be announced and held at a later date. Her family would like to thank Mary Free Bed Home Care for their care and support in addition to numerous other health care professionals involved with her care.
