THOMPSON, MRS. JOYCE L. Norton Shores Mrs. Joyce L. Thompson, age 91, died Thursday, June 5, 2014. She was born in Muskegon, MI on March 20, 1923 to Clinton & Louise (Brower) Carpenter and married Glen Thompson on October 5, 1940. Mrs. Thompson had been employed as a Manager at Plumbs Bakery for 5 years until retiring. She was a member of First Congregational Church UCC and Eastern Star Genesis Chapter #88, Bethesma Shrine, volunteered at the Red Cross, Hackley House and Muskegon Art Museum. SURVIVORS Daughters, Sally (Robert) Malkan of IL, Doris Thompson of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Melissa (Dennis) Healy, Amanda (James) Kowalski; three great grandchildren: Jamie, Madeline and Spencer Healy, and her life long best friend Harriett Chalker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen in 1979 and daughter Patsy Bohle in 1990. SERVICE Thursday, June 12, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Rev.
