Joyce A Shelkey

Mrs. Joyce Ann Shelkey, age 75, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on June 6, 1942 to Red & Loulie (Stickley) Gowen and married Lester Shelkey on October 28, 1961. Mrs. Shelkey had been employed as a Customer Service Representative for Gordon Foods & Sam's Club for years until retiring. Joyce enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking, shopping, traveling, craft fairs and jewelry. SURVIVORS Daughter, Terri Shelkey Strait; grandchildren, Zachary Strait, Bobby DeCheney III, Dawn (Dale Bennett) Dewitt, Donny Strait II; great granddaughters, Sierra Bennett & Shaylee Christensen; brothers-in-law, Clyde (Mae) Shelkey, Ronnie (Donna) Shelkey; sisters-in-law, Doris (Chuck) Johnston, Gloria (Eugene) Crain Sr., Susan Smith, Nancy (Russ) Schneider; many nieces and nephews; family friends, Lee & Shirley Thurston, Todd & Becky Dunham, Deb & Rich Monroe and Carol Norton and fur baby, Peanut. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester in 2010; daughter, Tracy DeCheney in 2016; granddaughter, Brooke DeCheney; parents; sisters-in-law, Darlene Pickering & Marion Bentley; brother-in-law, Bob Smith. SERVICE Wednesday, May 23, 2018, 4:00 pm at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Michael Schultz officiating. VISITATION Wednesday, 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon.
