Josephine F. Rainbolt

Mrs. Josephine F. (Dell) Rainbolt, age 80, of Norton Shores, passed away Friday, February 15, 2008 at Christian Care Nursing Center. She was born November 6, 1927 in Jersey City , New Jersey to the late Ernest and Josephine (Brugel) Dell. Josephine worked at Muskegon General Hospital for over thirty years. She was first an X-ray Technician and later ran the admissions desk for the Emergency and Lab Departments. She was a member of The First Presbyterian Church, VFW Post 446 Ladies Auxilary, and was a member with her late husband of the Moose Lodge and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Herb; and her two sisters, Dorothy and Virginia. Surviving are two daughters: Kay & Bob Baumgarten of Florida and Janet & Glenn Shira of Missouri; five grandchildren: Elizabeth, Paul, Brian, Michael, and Amy; one great-grandchild, Rudy; three sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Josephine will be Wednesday, February 20, at 11:00 at The First Presbyterian Church, 2577 Wickham Drive, Muskegon, with Rev. Dr. Fred Halde officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 19, 2 -4 and 6-8 p.m. at Ever Rest Funeral Home & Chapel, 1783 E. Keating Ave., Muskegon, and one hour prior to her service on Wednesday at the church (10-11). Interment will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
