Josephine K. Buchan

BUCHAN, MRS. JOSEPHINE "JO" Norton Shores Mrs. Josephine 'Jo' K. Buchan, age 83, died Saturday, October 30, 2004. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI on June 28, 1921 to Daniel & Hazel Crater Smith and married Donald Buchan on January 17, 1944 in San Diego, CA. Mrs. Buchan was a graduate of Grand Rapids Community College, a past president of Churchill PTA, PTA County Council and a member of the Exectutive Board of United Way of Muskegon. She had also belonged to the Junior Womens Club, was active in the Red Cross, Mona Shores Band and Choir Parents and a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Buchan was a creative seamstress, enjoyed playing cards and cooking. But foremost in her life was her family. SURVIVORS Husband, Donald; 3 sons David Buchan, Brad Lynn Buchan, Scott Carmen Buchan all of Muskegon; 2 daughters, Deb Jeff Mack of Adrian, Barb Doug McPhail of Muskegon; 14 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Marjorie Boissoneau of Newaygo; nephew, Ross Mary Boissoneau of Traverse City. Mrs. Buchan was preceded in death by 2 grandsons, Bradley "Butch" and Andrew Buchan and her brother-in-law Louis Boissoneau. SERVICE Tuesday, November 2, 2004, 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Fred R. Halde officiating. VISITATION Monday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home.
