Joseph Svoboda

Joseph Svoboda age 88, died Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at the Poppen Hospice Residence. Joseph was born on February 15, 1920 in Sullivan Township, Michigan to the late Vincent and Anna (Zovin) Svoboda. Joseph was in the U.S. Navy. He married Marva Ruth (Kieft) Svoboda on November 26, 1949 in Laketon township, Muskegon. Joseph worked for Dresser/Lift Tech for many years until his retirement. Joseph is survived by his wife of 59 years Marva R. Svoboda of Fruitport, 2 Daughters: Diane M. Humphreys of Fruitport and Sharon L. Crowder of Los Banos, California. 3 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. 2 Sisters Margaret Petrick of Fruitport and Matilda Standage of Muskegon. He was preceded in death in addition to parents by: 2 Brothers: Frank & John 4 Sisters: Rose, Ann, Sophia, Mary. Cremation has taken place and no services will be conducted at this time. Memorials may be directed to Poppen Hospice Residence.
