KLECKA, MR. JOSEPH J. North Muskegon Mr. Joseph J. Klecka, age 84, died Friday, July 9, 2004 at Hackley Hospital. He was born in North Muskegon, on July 7, 1920 to Edward & Mary Klicka Klecka, Sr. and married the former Zora J. Turner on March 7, 1947. Mr. Klecka had been employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator at the B.C. Cobb Plant for 28 years until retiring in 1982. Joseph served in the United States Marine Corp during WW II. Received a good conduct medal in Guadalcanal & Cape Glouster & a Purple Heart after being wounded on Peleliu Island. He was a life member of Don Rea VFW Post 8846 and the DAV, member of American Legion Post 69 and the White Lake Eagles. He enjoyed his grandchildren and camping. SURVIVORS Wife, Zora; 1 daughter, Nancy Beardsley of North Muskegon; 2 grandhildren, R. Joseph Sheryl Beardsley and Jack Beardsley; 3 great grandchildren, Brandon and Nick Beardsley and Jimmy Wallor;1 sister, Mildred Klecka of North Muskegon; 1 brother, James Donna Klecka of North Muskegon; 1 nephew, W. Scott Caren Wagoner of Bellaire, MI; 1 brother in law, Edward Wierengo of Muskegon; also a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Todd Alan Beardsley, brother, Edward Klecka, Jr; 2 sisters, Clara Wierengo and Maimie Squire. SERVICE Monday, July 12, 2004, 2:00 PM at Clock Chapel with Rev. Dr. Glenn M. Wagner officiating. Interment at Laketon Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL: Charity of Choice.
