Joseph Kastelic

Mr. Joseph R. Kastelic, age 81, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014. He was born in Kirkland Lake Ontario, on February 16, 1933 to Joseph & Amelia (Zidar) Kastelic and married the former Stella Babel on September 4, 1954. Mr. Kastelic had been a professional hockey player for the Muskegon Zephyrs and Mohawks entering the Muskegon Sport Hall of Fame in 2001. He then worked in auto sales and real estate until retiring. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church and most of all loved his grandchildren. SURVIVORS Wife, Stella; son, Kurt (Tammy) Kastelic; grandchildren, Eric Kastelic, Glen Kastelic, Veronica Kastelic; sister, Malci Marn of Trebnje, Slovenia; brother in law, Joe (Penny) Babel of Burlington, Ontario. He was preceded in death by his parents. SERVICE A Memorial Service will be held at later date. MEMORIAL: Mercy VNS and Hospice.
