BEYRLE, I MR. JOSEPH R. Norton Shores Mr. Joseph R. Beyrle I died December 12, 2004 in Toccoa, GA. He was born in Muskegon to William & Elizabeth Smith Beyrle on August 26, 1923. He graduated from of St. Joseph's High School in 1942 and joined the Army in September 1942. He was a member of the 506th Parachute Infantry regiment of the 101st Airborne division and served in Europe, participating in D-Day, 1944. He worked as a Supervisor at the Brunswick Corporation for 28 years retiring in 1981. He was a Past National President of the 101st Airborne Association, a member of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers and of the VFW Post 3734, DAV, American Legion, the Rotary Club, Eagles, Elks, Mona Lake Boat Club and was active in many community groups. He also was former Chairman of the Muskegon County Veterans Commission and formerly served on the Norton Shores City Commission. SURVIVORS Wife, JoAnne, and they had celebrated their 58th anniversary last September, children, Julie Jack Schugars, Joe II Kathy Beyrle and John Jocelyn Beyrle; grandchildren, Amanda Mathew Lynn, Eric Schugars, Joseph III, Victoria, and Christopher Beyrle, Alison and Caroline Beyrle and great grandson, Alexander Beyrle and one sister, Cecila. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 1 sister. SERVICE Friday, December 17, 2004, 11:00 AM at Clock Chapel. VISITATION Wednesday, 7-9 PM and Thursday, 2-4 & 6-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home. MEMORIAL: In lieu of flowers the family suggests the Beyrle - Hollowell Scholarship through the Community Foundation of Muskegon County. Clock - Muskegon
