Brown, Mr. Joseph Leroy Muskegon, Michigan Joseph Leroy Brown affectionately known as "Butch" was born on February 5, 1950 in Chicago, IL to Almeta (Hicklin) and Leroy Brown. Joseph attended Parkside Elementary and Chicago Vocational High School on the Southside of Chicago. He served his country as a United States Marine and received an honorable discharge for services rendered. Upon returning from active duty, Joseph earned an apprenticeship and worked faithfully as a Journeyman Painter and Drywaller and was owner operator of J&P Drywall for over 30 years until retiring. Later in life Joseph accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior, to which he lived his life with deep reverence and compassion. Joseph served the Lord as an active and devoted Deacon of Harvest Time Evangelist Outreach known as "Brother Joe", where he strengthened his gift of spreading God's word to all. He was a great man who cared for others and gave love and compassion through his beliefs. Joseph enjoyed fishing, telling jokes, chatting with his children, and was known to be an "everyday Grandpa" who loved the time spent with his grandchildren. Joseph was preceded into God's loving arms by his mother and father, Almeta and Leroy Brown, sisters, Sharon Lyke and Tanya Veal and his loving wife, Patricia (Black) Brown. On September 27th, 2020, the gentle soul of Joseph Leroy Brown went home to be with the Lord at the age of 70. He leaves to cherish his memories: Children, Tjuana (Jonathan) Martin (Orlando, FL), Latonja Howell (Atlanta, GA), Antoine J Brown (Calumet City, IL). Kashawn Brantley, Lashandra (Elton) Williams, Nikole (Carlos) Davidson, Kasandre Brown, Whitney Brown (Muskegon, MI). Grandchildren, Jonathan and Summerlyn Martin, Capri Brown, Ka'Myra Wade, Ah'Mir Brown, Amonee and Tyson Poole, My'Kiya Martin, Patrick Epps and Elton Williams IV. Sisters, Betty Nickerson, Beverly Johnson (Chicago, Il) and Brenda (Theo) Foreman (Oakland, CA), a host of nieces, nephews, loving family members and loyal friends. ~ Have a Blessed Day...
