John Walker

John L. Walker, age 96, passed away January 7, 2011. He was born October 24, 1914 in Newaygo County, MI and married Jaconetta E. Bartlett in Muskegon, MI on August 19, 1938. John worked as Chief Design Engineer at Continental Motors (Teledyne) and retired after 30 years. He built and co-owned Muskegon KOA campground. John was a gifted artist and athlete. The N. Muskegon community will remember his daily walks. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father and friend, inspiring all who knew him. SURVIVORS Sons, John (Marge) Walker of CA, Paul (Esther) Walker of Hudsonville; daughters, Jane (Bob) Weber of N. Muskegon, Marva (Wally) Jones of N. Muskegon; sister, Julia (Robert) Ritterbush of N. Dakota; 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jaci; brothers, Solomon & Dean Walker; sisters, Marian Westgate, Carolyn Simonetti, Laurene Mitchell..
