TOPPEN, MR. JOHN W. North Muskegon Mr. John W. Toppen, age 94, died Friday, August 13, 2004. He was born in Muskegon, MI on November 1, 1909 to Harry & Jennie Schuitema Toppen and married the former Ruth L. Miller on April 28, 1934. Mr. Toppen had been employed as a Administrator at Muskegon Public Schools prior to his retirement 1975 & was a member of Laketon Bethel Reformed Church. SURVIVORS 1 son, Bob Mary Toppen of Caledonia, MI; 1 daughter, Janice Toppen of Columbia, MD; 2 grandchildren, Jeffrey Nancy Toppen of Grand Rapids & Jennifer Paul Meier of Lapeer, MI; 3 great grandchildren, Sarah, Emily & Susan Toppen. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth on September 24, 1998. SERVICE Monday, August 16, 2004, 2:00 PM at Clock Chapel with Dr.Sherwin Brantsen officiating. Interment at Restlawn Cemetery.
